Blue Smoking Set - Art Deco Smoking Set
This is a rare Art Deco wedgewood-blue, floral smoking set. The top is a floral pattern and the sides are ribbed. It's unusual in that it was made to hold filterless cigarettes, but it could hold cigars, as well. The set is a ceramic cigarette box and two personal ashtrays with no rests. On the bottom is "japan." The cigarette box is 6" long, 3 1/2" wide and 3" tall. Each ashtray is 4" wide by 2 3/4" long. Aside from one pin-head size chip on one corner of the box, this is in perfect condition. No other chips, cracks or repairs. This is a very imtimate smoking set and very cool. You would probably have found this on Joan Crawford's coffeetable.
