Brighton Museum Collection Mythology Belt
Vintage, Zorian Brighton Museum Collection Mythology Belt. This beautiful belt has been hand distressed and antiqued by Zorian. The alligator print leather has a rich brown patina. The belt is adorned with silver tone filagree. The buckle has Bellerophon ridding Pagsus. Bellerophon is the greatest hero and slayer of monsters in Greek mythology. On the belt loop there is a golden winged Griffin poised regally. The Griffin represents the guardian of wealth. On the inside the belt reads, "Brighton Museum Collection Decorative golden coins, particularly fashionable in the second and third centuries, were often made into rings and awarded for acts of distinction. Inspired by the Greco-Roman tradition, we've designed our own elegant silver settings to encase these golden treasures." The belt is 34" long and 1" wide.
