Darrell Waltrip Windbreaker - #17 Western Auto
Boogity Boogity Boogity, let's go racin'. If you love NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee, DW, as much as I do, you'll be doing his Indy boogie dance over this rare find. This licensed jacket is a minimum of 12 years old, and possibly 19 years old! It is an authentic NASCAR, Winston Cup, and Darrell Waltrip collector's treasure! Western Auto sponsored Darrell's #17 from 1991 to 1997. As a team owner during this period, Darrell needed a sponsor who he knew would support him. He got that in Western Auto. This era includes Darrell's 25th anniversary in racing in 1996, as well as an unprecedented 40 races without a DNF over two racing seasons. The polyester windbreaker is black with Western Auto and the number 17 embroidered on the front left like a logo. Embroidered on the back is Darrell Waltrip in silver thread and his #17 Chevy Lumina. It was made by Motorsports Traditions. The size is not in the jacket, but it measures 29" from pit to pit and 25" from the top of the collar to the bottom elastic waistband. The sleeves are 24". It has side pockets. Considering its age, it's in remarkable condition. No rips, holes, tears, or stains and the zipper works perfectly.
