Steppenwolf Theater Jacket - Vintage Theatre Clothing

Own a piece of theater history with this fabulous jacket. It's from the Steppenwolf Theater Company in Chicago. The internationally acclaimed company was launched by Terry Kinney, Jeff Perry, Gary Sinise and H.E. Baccus, Nancy Evans, Moira Harris, John Malkovich, Laurie Metcalf and Alan Wilder in the early 1970s. Their website is . On the front is an S in a box with a red dot. On the back is STEPPENWOLF embroidered in silver thread. This magnificent, heavy jacket is black with brick-red leather sleeves and trim made by Canada Sportswear, maker of the finest melton and jersey jackets. It's a 24 oz. melton jacket with a quilted, polyester lining in the body and sleeves. It has acrylic and lycra rib knit waistband and cuffs. It has a melton stand collar with leather and piping trim and comfort rib knit on inside of collar. It has front leather welt pockets, and an inside chest pocket. The snaps are matching red metal. It's an extra large, measuring 24" from pit to pit and 30" from the top of the collar to the bottom hem. The sleeves are 21". It's in great shape and appears to have never been worn. This is a real conversation piece, especially for theatre buffs. I doubt that you will find another one anywhere else.
