The Book of Jazz: A Guide to the Entire Field was written by Leonard Feather and features a forward by John "Dizzy" Gillespie. The book was originally published in 1957 under LCN 57-14546. This is the Paperback Library Edition, First Printing published in September of 1961. The Story of Jazz was written by Marshall Stearns and this is the Mentor Book edition, 2nd Printing from June 1960. Both of these books are difficult to find and are for the serious jazz enthusiast. Both paperback editions are in good condition and a steal at this price for the set.
